Who is responsible for your information
Wallsend Women is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Questions and requests can be sent to wallsendwgc@gmail.com.
Information we may use
- Names, email addresses, telephone numbers and the contents of enquiries sent to the club.
- Player and staff information such as names, roles, squad numbers, biographies, photographs and approved sponsor details.
- Information needed to manage approved website editors, including account details and records of administrative changes.
- Limited technical and security information created when the website is accessed or administered, such as request and authentication records.
Why we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, operate and safeguard the club, publish accurate team and club information, manage partnerships, secure the website and meet legal or football-governance responsibilities. Depending on the circumstances, we rely on consent, legitimate interests, contractual necessity, legal obligations or protection of someone’s vital interests.
Player photographs and profiles
Player and staff profiles are published only when the club has an appropriate reason and permission to do so. People may ask us to correct or remove information. We do not publish private contact details, home addresses, medical information or other unnecessary personal information in public profiles.
Children and young people
Where information relates to someone under 18, the club applies additional care and considers the young person’s best interests. Publication of identifiable photographs or profile information requires the club’s safeguarding process and appropriate agreement from the young person and, where required, a parent or guardian. We minimise the information published and will act promptly on a suitable request to review or remove it.
Who we may share information with
Information may be shared with authorised club staff, website and storage providers, football authorities or professional advisers where this is necessary and lawful. We may also disclose information to emergency services, safeguarding bodies or regulators when required. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate club records, or to meet legal, safeguarding and insurance requirements. Enquiries are reviewed and removed when they are no longer needed. Current profiles are reviewed when a person leaves or their role changes; material retained as part of the club’s historical archive is assessed separately.
Your rights
You may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion or restriction, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. Contact wallsendwgc@gmail.com and explain what you need. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
If you remain concerned, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We will update this page when our website services or use of personal information changes. The review date above shows when it was last checked.
